Wall Mounted Pool Shower Installation Instructions
1. Select a position for your Pool Shower away from powerlines & power points. Shower height is 2 mtrs. 2. Run plumbing underground using ½” poly or copper tube. Bring the plumbing pipe or pipes out of the ground together approximately 100mm (4”) beside the wall. (Suncoast showers stand away from wall by 45mm) If using a Hot & Cold Water shower the Hot water should be tempered to max.55 deg (Council Regulations) the showers do not have a tempering device. 3. Flush pipe work with water before connecting to shower, dirt & pipe filings will affect shower performance. 4. Cut the pipes to the desired length staggering the Hot & Cold pipes to make it easier to connect to flexi- connectors. Using compression fittings (1/2” C x MI Union) for copper or Tita fittings (1/2”P x MI Connector) for poly connect pipe work to the (A) ½” FI Sockets or (B) ½” Flexi connectors protruding out of the shower. Note: Hot & Cold are marked with Red Tape (Hot) and Blue Tape (Cold) 5. When tightening to flexi-connectors no thread tape is required. Hand tighten then nip (1/2 turn) with spanner. Hoses will push up inside shower when in upright position. Turn shower on to check for leaks! Mark and drill holes to mount shower on wall {10mm for cement or brick walls} & {4.5mm for timber walls} Fix shower to wall using screws & plastic plugs provided 6. (Suncoast Stainless Steel Showers only) Clean your new stainless steel shower with the enclosed Hillmark Steelkleen wipe. The wipes are designed to remove finger prints, water marks and prevent brown staining. Should light scratching occur or brown staining, use a Scotch Brite green pot scourer and rub up & down the shower in the direction of the grain.(Not across the grain) To help with removal of brown staining use dishwashing liquid on a wet Scotch Brite. Please be aware we use structural grade stainless steel and sometimes there are flaws or scratches in the tube. We do our best to remove these before manufacture. To keep your shower looking good wipe over your shower regularly with Steelkleen Stainless Steel spray (purchased through most supermarkets). We use 316 Stainless Steel which doesn’t rust. Thank you for purchasing a Rainware Pool Shower, your shower is now ready to use. Warning: If the shower is in direct sunlight this could cause the water held in the shower or garden hose connecting the shower to heat up and cause scalding. Please ensure before using the shower to let water run for a few moments to washout any overheated water.
